Enterprises Tax Credit Platform that automates and finds savings on government incentives.
Every year, the government gives back millions of dollars as a Tax Credit or Incentive. Not all companies have the resources to follow up with the codes & rules to be able to receive full amount of the credits.
Incentify ensures that every dollar earmarked as a Tax Credit or Incentive reaches full monetization at the level of efficiency and effectiveness offered by the highest standard of enterprise technology.
- Re-design the platform to enhance the UX & UI.
- Learn the users problems and continue to build new features.
As a first designer of the team, my responsibilities are to collaborate with the Director of Product, CTO and other engineers to improve the current experience, build out the Design System from scratch and develop new features.
- Improve UI Design from current platform.
- Work with Product to learn the users problems, prioritize the solutions, and plan out steps to tackle them.
- Collaborate with engineering team to migrate to new platform and build new features.
- Build Design System to enhance collaboration between design and engineering.

The team started out with all engineers, therefore they were using templates and modified it to fit the needs. After I joined the team and audited the current platform, I realized that there was no consistency when it comes to fonts, colors, reusable components, and more.
After meeting with Product, I advised the team to start building the Design System that will benefit everyone in the team, and our customers.
After a few days, many mandatory components are ready to use, and I am ready to continue to build this out, besides starting to tackle another problems.

When customers log in to the platform, the first thing they see is the Credit Summary presenting how they're doing in terms of getting money/credit back from the government.
We learned that while the current platform provided the info, customers' engagement were very low, so my next task is to learn what worked, what didn't, and re-design the Summary.

With the new Design System in place, now the platform started getting more consistent design. Many of those we were able to build as reusable components, saving lots of time and effort between engineering and design.
At this time, the team did not install any tracking methods, so we were not able to measure metrics, but by showing the new design to some of our core customers, the feedback was positive.
By connecting with some of our core customers, we learned how they're working to get the tasks done, and we were not a big fan of the how. Neither were our customers.
We knew that we needed to provide the built-in solution to help customers tackle the tasks quickly and efficiently.
- Customers currently organized the tasks using spreadsheets, this would take a lot of time to work on them since there could be thousands of tasks at a time.
- Mannually file sharing between tasks, making this even more time-consuming.
- Built-in table inside Incentify platform, where users can easily see all tasks at hand with filtering and sorting.
- Search functionality to search through thousands of task will significantly enhance the experience.
- Bulk-action to assign tasks to get more done quickly.

The mighty Incentify Discovery was the most "wow" moment when we introduced the first concept to our customers. With this feature, customers can find all Tax Credit & Incentive opportunities all around the U.S. without manually searching, saving months of work.

- The Map will allow customers to be able to search in the U.S. (with the plan to expand worldwide) any programs that potentially can match with their business and allow them to claim the credit.
- The Analytics will give more details how Incentify collect the information and how those information will be relevant to customer's business.

- With more detailed view in each of the "Site", customer will be able to identify which zones are a match, with description and zone summary to learn from.
- Portfolio Info will have a comprehensive summary about the current credits and how much they should expect to earn in the certain period of time.
Incentify was one of a kind project, with no direct competitor in the known for us to learn from. Our team was relatively small and we learned a lot as we continued to build this product. The collaboration between Product, Design, and Engineering was amazing and I was proud to be a part of the team.
As the first designer, I was able to help and shape some design direction for the team to continue to grow. Recently, I was contacted back to help onboarding the new designer to get her up to speed.
